Silence Of Night…

My nights quiver in the painful silence,
Scared to see the harshness of sun and heat…

Those poisoning words hammering me,
Have weakened my limbs and soul…

I may have asked her too much,
A commitment of loyalty and a word of love….

Over the years of love and a dedicated hand,
My words got lost like ripples on the sand…

Smiling while she lay her head on my breast,
Hard was for her to promise one thing till the day of my rest…
